The Executive branch emphasized that mass sterilization is the central tool to prevent overpopulation and animal abandonment in the district.

The municipal veterinary team will perform sterilizations, basic health check-ups, and talks on responsible pet ownership, prioritizing animals from neighbors in the area who cannot afford private treatment.

From the Zoonosis area, they explained that the operation is part of the "Lanús, pet-friendly city" strategy, which combines free sterilizations, anti-rabies vaccination campaigns, and awareness activities in schools and plazas.
